Private dating scan
Most women in early pregnancy experience no problems, but not all.
This early pregnancy dating scan (ante-natal scan) is useful for those who: Are experiencing pain or bleeding in the pregnancy Had a previous miscarriages Had a previous ectopic pregnancy Are unsure of date of last menstrual period And for those who need reassurance prior to their NHS scan, now usually performed after 12 weeks.
Morning everyone, I am looking to have a private scan, as the NHS is taking their time about my dating scan.
However, the cheapest I have found this type of scan is 100.
From a medical point of view the benefits of 3D and 4D scans appear to be limited.
Occasionally they can be useful in giving additional information about a known abnormality.
You may have had the ‘blue line’ which suggests you are, but to see for sure will give you added reassurance.
Baby scans use the same technology as traditional 2D ultrasound scans but rather than taking a single image, they comprise multiple images processed very quickly in a powerful computer to create the 3D scan image.
All scans are performed by a qualified Sonographer with diagnostic obstetric scanning experience.
Need to expose abdomen so ideally wear 2 piece garment i.e. Drink 0.5 Ltr (1 pint) clear fluid approximately 1 hour before appointment time.
During your appointment a general well-being check is performed on the baby, in an event of any abnormality being detected, we will discuss this with you and provide a full report for to forward to your health practitioner.
We advise all our customers to advise their GP or midwife know of their intention to have a scan with us.
